Integrating Services; Stewarding Resources
Family Centers, Inc. (FCI), established in 1989, is a nonprofit collaborative venture of agencies that actively promotes the wellbeing of Dane County's vulnerable children and families. Through a steadfast and ongoing commitment to an alliance among four family-serving agencies, Family Centers, Inc. is able to provide families in need with complimentary services while making efficient use of charitable dollars.
FCI's unique co-location agreement at 2120 Fordem Ave. in Madison, Wisconsin enables each of its agencies to play a vital role in building family strengths through services that address and alleviate family stress.
Brought together to share resources through a broad community partnership, FCI's
four nonprofit agencies are:
Canopy Center (formerly Parental Stress Center)
Exchange Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse
Family Enhancement
Respite Center
Today the agencies work to improve the lives of more than 4,000 individuals each year. The co-location of the agencies has resulted in closer cooperation among them, as well as careful stewardship of the resources entrusted to them.
